Andrew gives up lease on Crown Estate property

Prince Andrew (Mountbatten-Windsor) has given up a lease on East Lodge, a Crown Estate property located near Windsor. The BBC reports that he had been paying an annual rent of nearly £13,000 for the Grade II-listed cottage, believed to have been used for staff accommodation. The decision follows public scrutiny of his links to Jeffrey Epstein. The lease will now be terminated early, but the timetable depends on arrangements for those living in the house when Andrew ceases to be involved.
